EconomyIran war and high living costs drive last-minute holiday bookings, Tui says

Tui, Europe’s largest travel company, says holidaymakers are delaying bookings and arranging trips at the last minute amid uncertainty over the continuing Iran war and the cost of living crisis. The company estimates that the war has cost it €60m so far. In the weeks after the conflict began at the end of February, demand from customers seeking holidays in Cyprus or Turkey temporarily declined. Tui described the period as a “volatile market”.
