PoliticsKey US primary races take shape
Primary elections were held Tuesday in six US states, with both major parties heading to runoffs in several contests. In Minnesota, the progressive lieutenant governor defeated Representative Angie Craig in the Democratic Senate primary. Wisconsin’s Republican gubernatorial race remains too close to call. Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth defeated eccentric businessman Mike Lindell, who had Donald Trump’s endorsement, in the Republican governor’s primary. In South Carolina, Darlene Graham advanced to the Republican Senate runoff to succeed her late brother, Lindsay Graham, who died suddenly last month.
