The Three Gorges New Energy Jiangsu Rudong offshore wind project has produced more than 10 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity as of Monday. The 800-megawatt project is described as Asia’s first offshore wind facility to use flexible direct-current transmission. Its reported generation marks a major output milestone for the project and highlights the use of flexible DC technology in offshore renewable power.
