SocietyChina allocates about $26 million for emergency disaster relief
China has set aside 180 million yuan, equivalent to about $26.52 million, for emergency disaster relief. Heavy rain associated with Typhoon Dolphin has caused flooding in provinces in the east. At the same time, drought conditions have become more severe in the northwest. The funding comes as both flood and drought pressures intensify in different parts of the country.
