SportsTrump says replacing Infantino would be a ‘terrible mistake’
Donald Trump says replacing FIFA president Gianni Infantino would be a “terrible mistake.” His remarks mark the first time he has spoken in Infantino’s defence since plans described as FFE plans were leaked on July 28. Trump’s comments therefore represent his first public defence of the FIFA president after the leak. The statement focuses on opposition to replacing Infantino rather than outlining any further details about the plans.
