TechYouTube is raising the bar for creators who want to earn money

Beginning February 1, 2027, creators seeking to monetize through YouTube’s Partner Program will need at least 1,000 subscribers. They must also record either 8,000 qualified watch hours during the previous year or 20 million qualified Shorts views within the past 90 days. The thresholds represent a substantial increase over YouTube’s current requirements.
