CultureRussian publisher blacks out references to Stalin and Hitler in Günter Grass novel

Users of Russia’s Ozon marketplace have complained that references to Stalin and Hitler were blacked out in The Rat, a novel by German writer and Nobel Prize in Literature laureate Günter Grass. The complaints concern censorship of the book’s text by its Russian publisher. Independent Russian outlet Verstka was the first to report the users’ claims.
