EconomyMSC and BlackRock withdraw bid approval request for Barcelona port stake
Shipping giant MSC and buyout fund BlackRock have withdrawn their request for European Union antitrust approval of a planned purchase. The proposed deal concerned a stake in the Barcelona port terminal owned by CK Hutchison. A regulatory filing disclosed the withdrawal. The filing did not state why the companies decided to remove their request. The transaction therefore remains without the requested EU competition clearance.
