TechKalashnikov CEO: Helicopters better than missiles for shooting down UAVs over Russian territory

Kalashnikov CEO Alan Lushnikov says helicopters are more effective than missiles for bringing down unmanned aerial vehicles over Russian territory. He attributes the capability to an upgrade of the Vikhr missile. According to Lushnikov, the modification has given the company a sufficiently effective way to combat fixed-wing UAVs. The remarks present the upgraded system as a practical countermeasure against that type of drone.
