SocietyTwo workers stood down after near-miss collision at Sydney Airport
Two workers have been temporarily stood down after a Jetstar aircraft narrowly avoided a Qatar Airways plane at Sydney airport. The Qatar aircraft had been pulled across the runway in front of the Jetstar flight. Transport minister Catherine King described the delays surrounding the incident as “unacceptable”. She said improved staff rostering would begin at the airport next month. King also met Airservices Australia chief executive Rob Sharp in Canberra.
