Taiwan’s military staged an exercise on Monday simulating the repulsion of a Chinese air-landing assault on the strategically important Penghu Islands. Later that day, the military is also set to throttle mobile internet for the first time during its annual war games. The measures form part of drills examining responses to a potential attack and communications disruption.
