EconomyShein finds China still has no substitute after Vietnam manufacturing trial disappoints

Shein encouraged some of its largest Chinese suppliers to establish manufacturing bases in Vietnam. The effort was intended to expand the company’s production footprint outside China. Instead, the experiment failed to develop as planned. The experience has left Shein recognizing that China remains difficult to replace within its supply chain.
