SportsSimeone says Atletico will not sell Alvarez despite Barcelona interest

Atletico Madrid will not sell Alvarez despite interest from Barcelona, according to Simeone. The Spanish club lodged a complaint with FIFA last month, alleging that Barcelona had improperly approached the 26-year-old forward. The dispute has added tension to the clubs’ transfer dealings. Simeone’s comments signal that Atletico intends to keep the player amid Barcelona’s reported interest.
