TechMicrosoft Edge is about to lock out older ad blockers, just like Chrome did
Microsoft Edge is preparing to end support for the Manifest V2 extensions platform. That change will cut off uBlock Origin and similar ad blockers from working in the browser. Microsoft says only 58 extensions on the Edge Add-On Store still use MV2 while having “meaningful usage,” with only three among them [ … ]. The move follows Google Chrome’s earlier shutdown of the same platform this year.
