CulturePro-Assad singers’ concerts cancelled after protests in Syria

Several concerts by musicians accused of supporting former Syrian president Bashar al-Assad have been called off this summer in towns across Syria. In Homs, people tore down posters advertising performances by Mohamad Iskandar and Hossam Jneed. They denounced the singers’ previous links to the regime. One of the artists has publicly apologised.
