TechJony Ive’s first OpenAI gadget is reportedly a hockey puck-sized smart speaker

OpenAI’s artificial-intelligence device being developed with former Apple designer Jony Ive is reportedly designed as a smart speaker without a display. Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman says it will run on battery power, use a doughnut-shaped design and be about the size of a hockey puck. The device is expected to launch in 2027 and cost more than $300. It is also said to have a distinctive appearance.
