Lao hydropower was sent to China’s Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for the first time on Wednesday. The transmission used the China–Laos 500-kilovolt interconnection project. Lancang-Mekong International Energy Co., which is affiliated with China Southern Power Grid, confirmed the development. The transfer marks a new electricity link between Laos and the Greater Bay Area.
