Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha made his first appearance before Chilean supporters at Colo-Colo stadium in the capital on August 5. The scenes of celebration were so exuberant they could have been mistaken for a World Cup victory. The 40-year-old rose to international prominence during the recent FIFA World Cup. He helped the small African island nation advance beyond the group stage before Cape Verde suffered a narrow defeat to Argentina in the round of 32.
