WorldRights groups say Israeli strike that killed Lebanon journalist was a war crime

Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and Legal Agenda said an Israeli strike in Lebanon in April killed journalist Amal Khalil and wounded her colleague Zeinab Faraj. Their investigations concluded that Israel deliberately and directly attacked the two women, apparently knowing they were civilians. The organisations called for the incident to be investigated as a war crime. Human Rights Watch also urged states to stop selling arms to Israel and impose targeted sanctions on Israeli officials it said were responsible for ongoing crimes.
