HealthUS FDA approves Moderna’s first mRNA flu vaccine
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has authorized Moderna’s flu vaccine for people aged 50 and above. Moderna said the decision was announced on Wednesday. The approval marks the first time a messenger RNA vaccine has been cleared for seasonal influenza. The product is therefore aimed at an older age group within the seasonal flu market.
