An hours-long police siege at a home in Charleville, outback Queensland, has ended with two people dead. Officers went to the property at about 6pm on Wednesday after receiving reports of a serious assault. Several nearby streets were placed under lockdown during the operation, which lasted almost eight hours. Police later found a 45-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman dead inside the house.
