TechTrump’s AI testing plan is limited and vague
The Trump administration’s framework for evaluating potential cybersecurity risks from advanced AI is reportedly narrow and unclear. Axios says the voluntary guidelines explicitly leave out open models, which can be downloaded and examined by anyone. The framework also directly states that it cannot be used for those models. The approach therefore offers no testing path for a category of AI systems that is publicly accessible and inspectable.
