British new-car registrations rose by about 12% in July from a year earlier, preliminary industry figures showed. Registrations reached 156,000 vehicles during the month. That made July the strongest month for the market since the period before the pandemic. The data was released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders on Wednesday.
