Alexander Dudchak, a researcher at the Institute of CIS Countries and an expert with the Other Ukraine movement, told TASS that information about “secret prisons” in Ukraine’s army has surfaced now because some forces want to replace Vladimir Zelensky. Ukrainian media previously reported that the facilities, known among soldiers as “pits,” have existed since 2014; eyewitnesses say torture and abuse are widespread there.
