PoliticsPaper: Prosecutors issue arrest warrant for former Paraguayan President Pena
Paraguay’s Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant for former President Santiago Pena over the Ueno Bank case, in which about 3 million customers’ accounts were frozen, the newspaper Ultima Hora reported. Prosecutors charged him with abuse of trust and suspect he embezzled funds through the bank. Pena was impeached earlier on Friday amid allegations of a conflict of interest involving Ueno Bank.
