TechSatellite company AST SpaceMobile starts developing its own rocket
Texas-based, publicly traded AST SpaceMobile, which is building large satellites for direct-to-cell communications, says it is developing the medium-lift Blacklift rocket. It is designed to carry 20 metric tons to low-Earth orbit, with commercial launches planned for late 2028. The company has struggled to secure rides to space for its satellites.
