WorldRussia declares hundreds of hotels in occupied Ukraine “ownerless”; one Ukrainian hotelier fights back
Russian authorities have labeled 521 hotels and resort complexes in occupied Zaporizhzhia “ownerless,” and at least 77 have changed hands, Reuters found. Denys Katyukha, the Ukrainian owner of the Admiral hotel, says occupation authorities rejected his documents before the hotel was transferred to a Russian state organization. A Ukrainian court ordered Russia to pay him $5.1 million, but he does not expect compensation soon.
