King Philippe of Belgium declined to accept the resignation of Prime Minister Bart De Wever’s government and asked him to keep seeking a compromise on the 2027 national budget. The Royal Palace said leaders of all five parties in the ruling coalition had affirmed their intention to reach a budget deal.
