SportsWhat to know about the IIHF Women's Ice Hockey World Championship

The Women's Ice Hockey World Championship has opened in Denmark without Russia, as the IIHF wrestles with a CAS order on Russia's return to international competition. Held in November for the first time, the tournament is scheduled to let top players participate and uses a revised format. The ruling requires Russia's inclusion in the 2026–27 season but does not cover this edition.
