WorldMidwest low pressure brings unseasonable warmth to New York and Boston
An area of low pressure in the US Midwest has drawn warm air from the Gulf of Mexico, pushing temperatures in New York and Boston close to 23C and above 20C in parts of eastern Canada. Temperatures are expected to move back toward average. Severe storms brought flood and evacuation warnings across US states and disrupted voting in Florida, Oklahoma and Colorado. A tornado damaged Keyes, Oklahoma, though no deaths were reported. Severe flood warnings were also issued in southern France, Corsica and Sardinia.
