Chinese scientist Wang Jinsong has become the first Chinese recipient of the William Nordberg Medal. The honor is awarded by the Committee on Space Research, or COSPAR, and is regarded as one of its highest distinctions. Wang received the medal in recognition of his outstanding contributions to applying space science.
