EconomyArmani heirs have no plans to sell fashion house to major companies
The heirs of late designer Giorgio Armani reportedly favor retaining control of his fashion house through a stock listing rather than selling it to a major brand. They plan to offer minority stakes to several investors, with L’Oréal and EssilorLuxottica among the leading contenders. Armani’s will requires 15% of the company to be sold within 18 months of his death; if the family does not transfer the remaining controlling stake to one strategic investor, it must list the shares within three to eight years of his death.
