COVID-19 activity continues to rise across Taiwan. The healthcare department said Tuesday that outpatient and emergency visits linked to the virus reached 18,990 during the week ending Aug. 1. That was up sharply from 10,605 visits recorded the previous week. The weekly figures show a substantial increase in people seeking medical attention for COVID-19.
