WorldLeon Black sues US congressman Robert Garcia for $7.5m over Epstein comments

Billionaire Leon Black filed a $7.5m defamation suit against California congressman Robert Garcia in federal court in New York, alleging Garcia made false claims about Black’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein and Epstein’s sex-trafficking crimes. The suit follows Black’s refusal to comply with House Oversight Committee subpoenas. The House voted to hold him in contempt, but the Justice Department had filed no contempt charges as of 5 November.
