PoliticsIBAC finds ‘concerning’ conduct by Andrews government but no evidence of firefighter union blackmail

Victoria’s anti-corruption watchdog has released a long-awaited report into dealings between senior members of the former Daniel Andrews government and firefighters union boss Peter Marshall. It describes the conduct of senior government figures as “serious and concerning.” However, the investigation found no evidence that the firefighters union was blackmailed. The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission tabled its report in parliament on Wednesday, about eight years after the inquiry began.
