A jury at London’s Southwark Crown Court found comedian and actor Russell Brand guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault. He was acquitted of two other rape charges and attempted indecent assault. Brand denied the allegations, saying the encounters were consensual or the claims fabricated. He was taken into custody and is due to be sentenced on Monday.
