Nine serving Serbian police officers and one former officer have been arrested over allegations that they used excessive force against students during protests last year. The Interior Ministry says the suspects abused and tortured several people in a Belgrade government compound garage in August 2025 to obtain information, intimidate them and punish them unlawfully.
