TechEA is now a private company

Electronic Arts has officially completed its transition to private ownership. The company announced last September that an investor consortium led by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake and Affinity Partners would take it private in a $55 billion transaction. EA said on Tuesday that the deal had successfully closed. The Public Investment Fund is reportedly set to own 93.4 percent of the company.
