TechHackers exploited iOS and Android flaws to infect phones

Researchers said hackers possibly linked to the Kremlin exploited patched iOS and Android flaws to target visitors to multiple websites, including one marking the US Constitution’s 250th anniversary. They assessed with moderate to high confidence that the attackers were part of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service. Malicious code profiled devices and tried to steal browser cookies, and in some cases Wi-Fi passwords and full device data.
