TechNintendo is set to lose a Switch cartridge supplier

Macronix, a major memory supplier for Nintendo Switch cartridges, says it will gradually phase out ROM production and focus on NOR flash for data centers. In Q3 2026, ROM revenue fell 39 percent year over year, while NOR and NAND revenue rose 158 percent and 768 percent, respectively.
