The European Commission has drawn up a roadmap for Ukraine’s EU accession talks that sets no date for membership and urges Kyiv to accelerate rule-of-law reforms. The document projects that Ukraine will complete negotiations in seven of 35 areas by 2027, trailing Moldova, which is expected to finish in more than 20. EU officials have repeatedly called a 2027 accession timeline unrealistic.
