PoliticsEU says Montenegro on track to become bloc’s next member by 2028
The European Commission says Montenegro could complete EU accession negotiations by year-end and become the bloc’s next member in 2028. Albania and Moldova are also advancing, while Ukraine needs to speed up reforms. The Commission said elections last month could offer Serbia a fresh start if a new government strengthens democracy.
