Federal and Victorian police, together with the spy agency Asio, are examining whether the Melbourne incident was a terrorist act. A joint statement says it may have been carried out by “far-left extremists” driven by anarchist and revolutionary ideologies. The incident at Lovitt Technologies occurred on 5 July 2025.
