Hengdian World Studios, known as a filming location for period dramas, has launched short-drama filming experiences. For nearly 400 yuan, visitors can play roles such as emperor, empress, consort or prince in a professional studio and receive an episode of their own. More than 2,000 people have taken part in the service’s first two months, drawing foreign visitors and sparking social media buzz.
