TechTencent unveils Hy4 as open-weight AI race heats up

Tencent has launched its latest flagship AI model, Hy4, aiming to compete with open-weight rivals DeepSeek, Z.ai and Alibaba. The company says Hy4 adds agentic capabilities for its enterprise software ecosystem and, for the first time, can understand images, analyse complex charts and perform visual mathematical reasoning.
