SocietyAs wildfires abate, tourists and locals slowly return to France’s Cap Ferret
Life is gradually returning to Gironde in southwestern France after wildfires burned for more than ten days. Travel to the affected Cap Ferret area is slowly picking up, while residents are beginning to go back to their homes. Police have authorised several local campsites to reopen. Businesses are counting on a busy August to help salvage the tourism season.
