PoliticsTrump says US will end military aid to Israel by year-end

Donald Trump said during a Fox News phone interview on US midterm election day that the country would end nearly $4bn in annual military aid to Israel at the end of the year, saying Israel did not need it. He said arms sales could replace the aid. Israeli officials appeared surprised, while opposition figures blamed Benjamin Netanyahu for damaging ties with Washington.
