Drax has agreed with Brookfield and AI infrastructure platform Radiant to develop a data centre at its North Yorkshire site, in a project that could attract more than £20bn. The centre could eventually exceed 1GW, with its first phase expected to operate from early 2028. Drax hopes to supply it directly in the early 2030s.
