PoliticsXi chairs symposium seeking non-CPC views on party self-governance resolution

The CPC Central Committee held a symposium on Aug. 21 to gather views from other political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and unaffiliated figures on a draft resolution concerning strict Party self-governance. Xi Jinping chaired and addressed the meeting, saying the Party must govern itself well to govern the country well. Participants backed the draft and offered suggestions.
