A Guangzhou taxi driver was given seven days of administrative detention on suspicion of fraud after charging a foreign passenger 600 yuan above the normal fare for a trip from Baiyun International Airport to Guangzhou South Railway Station. The passenger reported the incident on Oct. 22. The driver’s company decided to dismiss him.
